TransMission boasts extensive experience in linguistic QA & QC procedures, including UI, UA, Websites, Multimedia and Courseware.

For 12 years we have been working extensively on QA processes, both for the work we produce internally and for material translated by other vendors and submitted to us for Independent Review (e.g. as Linguistic Consultant for Lotus Development Corp., among other leading software developers).

This experience has enabled us to acquire the three essential ingredients for localization excellence in the software business:

Using the Best Translators

Our translators are not only excellent linguists, possessing in-depth academic knowledge, but also professionals with extensive experience in the field of IT translation. After successfully completing our rigorous selection process, new members of the TransMission team take our proprietary specialization course on Localization Theory and Practice, which introduces them to the industry's standard tools and methods. Then, they are put to the test using real material (but not live projects) for several months before they are included in our production workflow.

Exhaustive Monitoring of Project Progress

From the first contact with the client through to final delivery, the project manager and the project editors monitor the linguistic and technical progress of the project. In addition, to achieve excellence the localization team is required to use workgroup localization tools that guarantee work co-ordination between team members.

The purpose of this rigorous monitoring is to detect potential problems early and resolve them promptly. The project manager and the project editors are always senior staff, with years of localization experience. This background is a must in order to be able to act efficiently and quickly to resolve any problems that translators may encounter.

Production QA

Once production is finished, ownership of the localized material is transferred to senior linguists (the project editors) for QA. Every piece of material undergoes this second review stage, thus receiving the added benefit of a second professional's work before being delivered to the client.
